What materials do you offer?

We currently supply:

  • MDF

  • standard plywood

  • birch plywood

  • solid oak

  • solid pine

All are cut to your measurements in our UK workshop.

Can you cut panels to any size?

Yes — within practical limits of sheet size and courier handling.

If you’re fitting panels between two walls or in alcoves, we recommend ordering 2–3mm undersize to make installation easier.

What thicknesses are available?

Typical options include:

  • MDF & plywood – 6 / 9 / 12 / 18 / 24mm+

  • solid pine & oak – 18 / 22 / 25 / 30mm+

Available thicknesses can vary slightly depending on material — check the individual product page for details.

Do you offer finishing?

Yes — depending on the material, you can choose:

  • unfinished

  • fine-sanded

  • clear-oiled finish

You can also add:

  • rounded corners

  • edge sanding

  • cable holes or cut-outs

  • bevelled or chamfered edges

Can you do custom shapes, not just rectangles?

Yes. We can often cut:

  • angles

  • radius corners

  • circles/cable holes

  • simple templates

For more complex shapes, email a sketch after ordering and we’ll confirm what’s possible.

🧮 Ordering & measurements

How accurate are your cuts?

We work to tight tolerances — typically ±1–2mm.

What if I enter the wrong measurements?

Because orders are custom made to size, they usually cannot be returned.

If the size supplied was incorrect:

  • contact us anyway

  • we’ll help find the best solution

  • recuts are often available at a reduced cost

Can you advise on thickness for shelves/desks?

Yes — this is one of the most common things people ask.

  • material

  • length and depth

  • expected load

  • fixing method

We’ll give practical, honest guidance.

🚚 Delivery

How long will my order take?

Typical timelines:

  • Production: 1–4 working days

  • Delivery after dispatch: 1–2 working days

Larger/heavier orders may take slightly longer.

If you have a deadline, contact us before ordering — we’ll always try to help.

How will my order be packaged?

We use:

  • reinforced corner and edge protection

  • secure wrapping

  • heavy-duty packaging for larger items

If anything arrives damaged, take photos and contact us promptly so we can put it right.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver to mainland UK.

The following postcodes may incur a delivery surcharge, including on orders with free delivery. Please contact us for an up-to-date quote: artisawpanels@gmail.com

AB, IV, PH, PA, DD, TR, PL, TQ, CA, TD, EH, G, DG, KA, ML, FK, KY, LL (excluding 13-14), SY23/24/25

Other Highland and remote Scottish postcodes will need special arrangements.

Exclusions

We are unable to deliver to the following areas: locations outside of mainland UK, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland.

🔁 Returns & problems with orders

Can I return my order?

Because our items are made to your measurements, they are generally non-returnable unless:

  • we’ve made an error, or

  • the item is faulty or damaged

In those cases, we will remake or refund — no quibbling.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Contact us as soon as possible with:

  • your order number

  • photos of packaging and item

We’ll sort it quickly with a replacement or refund.
